Studio by Jax is changing the way we accept self care. With careful consideration, Jax has made a commitment to a gender-affirming, safe-space for LGBTQ clients and allies. Services do not reflect your gender, rather the technicality and time requirements of your selected service.
Jax believes that the traditional gender binary of the beauty industry is outdated. It’s time for inclusivity for all, and Jax is proud to be a part of this community. She hope you too will appreciate the efforts made by her salon, and many others, to cultivate a more tolerant salon environment. Individuals in violation of our safe space policy will be removed from the salon immediately.
The inspiration and guidelines set forth at Studio by Jax come from the amazing work being done at The Dresscode Project, a not-for-profit organization supporting the LGBTQ community. Hair Donations
Studio by Jax is a proud partner of both Children With Hair Loss and Wigs For Kids! When you choose Studio by Jax for your donation haircut you’ll receive 20% off your cut. The salon will also help with any necessary forms and even mail your hair donation for you! Details about requirements can be found at www.childrenwithhairloss.us and www.wigsforkids.org, or call the salon for more info.
Consultations
To ensure and comply with recent Covid-19 Safety Recommendations, consultations for color services will now be done in person or via Skype/Zoom - whichever is best for you. A consult is $15, which will be applied as a credit upon completion of service.
Jax Gratton
I know first-hand the frustrating and overwhelming feeling of “not feeling beautiful.” Every morning I wake and transform—from bed-head to confident and shining… but true beauty comes from within. I’m here to help you feel confident, from the moment you sit in my chair and into your daily routine.
Licensed since 2009, Jax Gratton offers 12+ years of experience as a hair stylist, and 5 years as an industry educator. After a hard-working career in higher education, fashion, events and behind the chair- the dream to open an inclusive-for-all studio space for Jax’s LGBTQ clients and allies is here.
Jax specializes in cuts, color, extensions, blowouts, updos, relaxers, events and styling lessons. She continues her education in her free time, testing (and mastering) new techniques. Beauty gurus are all-hair-knowing. You name it, Jax specializes in it.
